The core components of this leading role Reporting into the Biostatistics Manager, Associate Director or Director, this represents a Lead position contributing to governing functions of the Biostatistics and Statistical Programming staff within the Department of Biostatistics/Programming. You will be involved in hiring, training and mentoring or managing staff as well as managing project timelines, budgets, and resource. You will oversee the statistical aspects of clinical trials from design through analysis and reporting, acting as the lead statistician on multiple projects.
As an Experienced Biostatistician you will be Working on behalf of major pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies you will oversee the statistical aspects of clinical trials from design through analysis and reporting. Working on varied projects, in all phases of drug development, you will liaise with multidisciplinary project teams and interact with external clients and regulatory agencies. Some roles will involve additional responsibilities such as project leadership, managing project budgets as well as recruiting and line management of staff.
To be considered for this excellent opportunity you will possess an Advanced degree (MSc, PhD or equivalent) in statistics, or related field. BSc qualifications will be considered with good relevant industry and statistical experience.
You will have a strong knowledge of statistical principles underlying clinical trials and strong statistical skills. SAS® programming skills and familiarity of other statistical packages (e.g. StatXact, Nquery) and understanding of database structures, you will possess good organizational skills across individual projects, managing own and team work loads, an ability to adapt and adjust to changing priorities, as well as a basic knowledge of statistical principles applied to the design and analysis of clinical trials.
