The IPMF is a group of IP Managers from Biotech companies, University Tech Transfer departments, and BEPS managing patents of a biological subject matter. Concerned more with the practical aspects of IP management in the Biotech environment, than with the detail of patent law per se, the group has set out to identify IP Managers and to build a network with the specific goal of improving IP management in the Biotech sector.

The IPMF aims to stimulate knowledge sharing amongst members, and to pool information about service providers and training opportunities. Since inception the group has instigated a series of seminars, an electronic newsletter, and has launched a website, all dedicated to sharing knowledge and informing each other of relevant IP issues.
