Information Collection
New Discovery is part of the Phoenix & York group of companies and is fully committed to providing a discreet and confidential service to all clients and candidates. It is our policy to respect the privacy of every individual. All information collected by way of this site is subject to English Law and is held in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and subsequent legislation now in force. New Discovery is registered with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO).
Personal Information
This may include name, address, e-mail address, telephone numbers, references, date of birth, marital status, work permit requirements, medical history or condition relevant to your work or work environment, qualifications, future plans, personal interests, hobbies, beliefs, likes and dislikes, memberships, career history, psychometric or other technical test results, strengths and weaknesses and other abilities that may be relevant to a particular application or client profile.
Disclosure of Personal Information
New Discovery / Phoenix & York will not share or disclose any personal information relating to an individual without first obtaining their consent. It is our policy to contact candidates about each employment opportunity to obtain their permission to approach the client. New Discovery will also decline instructions from any client wishing to positively discriminate against personal data sets.
Registration
Once the details of a candidate or client have been registered and entered onto the database, New Discovery / Phoenix & York will endeavour to maintain those records in a secure and up-to-date manner.
Security
New Discovery operates security procedures to protect against loss, misuse or alteration of any information records. Amendments or alterations to any records can only be made by an authorised administrator. All information records are kept behind firewalls and managed by regularly updated security software that monitors all incoming and outgoing data to include e-mails and documents. All CVs and other information records relating to both candidates and clients can only be accessed by New Discovery / Phoenix & York representatives. All hard copy records are only produced for clients with the permission of the candidate.
Up-dating Records
Candidates and clients are requested to keep in touch and advise New Discovery of any changes to their details. From time to time we may contact individuals to update our records.
Your Legal Rights
Each individual has the right to view the information held about them, or request that the record is deleted from the system. If you would like to exercise this right or update your details please contact privacy@new-dr.com

When links within the New Discovery / Phoenix & York websites lead to external sites or servers we cannot offer any guarantees or safeguards in respect of security or privacy. We recommend that you read the Privacy Policy statement on any such external links to include links given in CV or other recruitment documents.

Where the New Discovery website offers news articles, these are supplied by way of press release searches or via the client. New Discovery / Phoenix & York cannot be held responsible for the accuracy or legal compliance of the article content. This will also include any articles or other material supplied by a candidate for publication on the site or submission to the client.
